PS4 to PS5 upgrade – every game with free and premium update

Which PS4 games have free PS5 upgrades? Is it worth upgrading?
PS4 to PS5 upgrade game list how to 500

Which PS4 games have PS5 upgrades? We’re continuing to see a growing list of PS4 games offering both free and premium upgrades to Sony’s newest console. To keep track of every game with a free PS5 update, and those that require an additional purchase or DLC to upgrade, we’ve made a list.

There are a number of reasons why you should consider upgrading your PS4 games to PS5. Developers have gone back to enhanced many of the latest video game releases, adding native 4K, boosting performance to 60fps, and using the DualSense controller’s intuitive haptic feedback. Some of these games also offer the option to transfer data between generations. Finally, upgrading also means that you can keep all of your games stored on one system instead of swapping back between PS4 and PS5.

The list below details which games are currently eligible for a PS4 to PS5 upgrade, what features are included, and how to access these upgrades.

  1. Thanks for this list, I’ll check it out. So far, I’ve used this list:

  2. You should not add Zombie Army 4 as this is not a full native upgrades to the game, but just a PS4 game update.

Plenty of games have gotten these. Yet you haven’t added those.

  3. Remnant: from the Ashes does not seem to get an actual PS5 upgrade (as in a proper PS native game), but rather a PS4 update that makes the PS4 game run better on PS5.
